We’re Still in Harmony: A Look at Our Year So Far!

It’s been a while since our last news update—time flies when you’re having fun (and learning a dozen or so new harmonies)! We may have been quiet on the website, but we’ve been incredibly busy out in the community over the last few months. This is a quick catch up and a sneak peek at what’s coming next.

Highlights From Our Recent Concerts

During our initial outing in March, we performed four pieces at the Mid-Somerset Festival choirs competition in Bath. Although we can't claim to have taken home a trophy this year as we did last year, we delivered outstanding performances despite facing tough competition, which left us feeling proud of our achievement!

Our choir season officially began in May with a concert alongside the Taff Ely Ladies choir from South Wales at the beautiful Holy Trinity Church in Bath. We collaborated on two pieces, including the energetic 'Rhythm of Life'. The combined sound of our two choirs was incredible!

We were thrilled by the turnout for our performance at Paulton Parish Church in June. Singing to a packed house is always a wonderful experience, and during the interval the church organist treated us all to a brilliant recital, which was particularly apt as the proceeds from the evening went directly toward the church's organ restoration fund.

Our travels in June also took us to the tranquil and historic village of Ubley in the Chew valley area. While the audience might have just outnumbered the choir on the night, what the crowd lacked in size, they more than made up for in enthusiasm! It turned out to be a wonderfully relaxed and good-natured evening. Most importantly, it was a great success in raising much needed funds for the local church.

What’s Next?

We have three more concerts scheduled before our summer break. We're eagerly

anticipating a concert with the Andover Ladies Choir in Andover, followed by a performance the next day with the West Wiltshire Young Singers at the Parade Gardens in Bath. Bring a picnic and enjoy being serenaded as you spend a summer afternoon in beautiful surroundings. We'll conclude our season with the Annual Summer Concert at the Methodist Church in Midsomer Norton. Details for all these remaining concerts can be found on our performances page.
