20 Mendip Men Needed
Charity Challenge 2026

Thanks for coming to our '20 Mendip Men Needed' page.  We’re looking for men who are willing to sing with and at the same time help us raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK * -vital in helping save men's lives. 

By joining our choir, not only will you help a great cause, but you’ll also experience the camaraderie, fun, and benefits that come with being part of a musical community.​

Your challenge:

  • Rehearse with Mendip Male Voice Choir from September 21st 2026 and perform with us at our 2026 annual Christmas Concert on December 18th.

  • Raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK by being sponsored for taking on and completing the challenge.

You get:

  • To sing with one of the finest male choirs in the South West of England

  • Support from our expert musical team throughout your time with the choir

  • ​Enjoyment, fun, a sense of achievement and encouragement from the 60 members of the choir

NB No previous experience needed and no audition!

NB No need to to read music !

 

In return we ask you to:

  • pledge to try to raise a minimum of £50 for Prostate Cancer UK

  • Rehearse with us on Monday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30 starting on 21st September at Midsomer Norton Methodist Church BA3 2DR 

  • Sing with us in our annual Christmas Concert

  • Have a willingness to learn with enthusiasm using materials provided

We ran a similar campaign in 2023 and many of the men are still singing with the choir today - here's what they said about it...
