Meet the new Mendip Men; Top Tenors
We are delighted to have so many new singers join us for the Christmas term in response to the 20 Mendip Men campaign in support of Prostate Cancer research. 7 of them sat with the Top Tenors on September 28th, and I caught up with them afterwards to ask them a little bit about themselves.

Roman (far left) lives at Radford Mill farm, and is an organic vegetable grower. He started as a seasonal worker in April, and will be there until at leat September 2027. He is a colleague of Simon John, who is already in the Top Tenors.
Richard M (second from left) lives in Chilcompton. Richard has been in the electronics industry all his life, running several companies and chairing the boards of many companies, and has one company left which he hopes to sell next year. His wife Vivienne runs the "Sing Your Heart Out" ladies choir, which we recently heard at Choirfest.
Nick (third from left) has been a motor mechanic for 50 years and has recently retired. He is a keen cyclist, and does a lot of woodworking as well, currently working on railway carriage restoration.
Richard P (third from right) used to be a teacher and retired 22 years ago. His main hobby is building and exhibiting narrow-gauge railways.
Mike (second from right) was a builder for 50 years and is now semi-retired. He plays golf, and is a keen karaoke singer
Noel (far right) is a retired teacher, and likes to play guitar. He often plays at the Folk Mass at St Joseph's, Peasedown St John.

David (who missed the group photograph) lives in Westfield. He was in the Army for 18 years, then retrained as a computer and printer engineer. He is a keen runner and hillwalker, and loves to bake cakes. His carrot cupcakes and Banbury cakes are highly recommended.
All our new colleagues are thoroughly enjoying the experience so far, and are looking forward to being able to remember all the words. We all know that feeling!!
