It's been quite a season for the choir, we've had an amazing time and now it's Christmas!
As we're now into the festive season, it’s an excellent time to reflect on a busy yet exciting autumn for our choir. From our first notes sung in Bath to the joyful Christmas carols in Midsomer Norton, we've had an amazing time!
Our autumn kicked off in September with an exhilarating performance alongside the renowned Mousehole Male Voice Choir in Bath. It was a fantastic experience enjoyed by a full house. If the applause was anything to go by, they enjoyed it!
In October we joined forces with six other choirs for a Choir Fest. Each choir showcased their unique styles and talents and it was heartwarming to share the enthusiasm of singing with other choirs and followers alike.
Closer to the end of our season we performed at Bath Christmas Market, at a charity event for the Methodist Housing Association and with Stanton Drew Community Choir, all raising important funds for local charities.
We were then excited to present our much-anticipated annual Carol Concert at St. John's Church in Midsomer Norton on December 16th, bringing a real sense of the season to a packed audience of close on 200 people.
We were fortunate to have talented soprano Hannah Drury join us for the concert singing several solos during the performance. Our finale and one of the standout moments of the concert was a breathtaking performance of "O Holy Night" when Hannah joined us to create a stunning Christmas gift to everyone there.
As the year ends, we look forward to embracing the festive spirit and hope our audience does too! After a brief break, we'll resume our regular Monday night rehearsals in early January. We can’t wait to prepare for even more performances in the spring. We encourage everyone to keep an eye on our website for updates on future concert dates.
We invite everyone to join us, both in celebrating Christmas and in looking forward with anticipation to our next season of music and harmony in 2025.
Happy Christmas to all!
